Welcome to Seatown, Cullen Cottages

Find yourself in Cullen and fall in love with the Seatown. Cullen is truly a wonderful place with something for everyone.

In the Seatown you can wander quiet streets; let the kids run free on the beach or walk safely amongst the randomly numbered cottages. Our children learned to ride their bikes around Seatown, and ventured on their first independent forays up in to the town.

4 sandy beaches to choose from … join a keen community of morning and evening promenaders walking their dogs and enjoying the sea air.Unfurl a blanket and sit on the beach at the little harbour and launch yourself in to the sheltered waters, or join in the pier jumpers of all ages.

Walk the beaches, the coast and the old railway line that’s part of the cycle paths running the north east coast. Head east to Pet Cemetery, the Salmon Bothy and beyond the hand built steps that take you on to Sunnyside Beach, Findlater Castle, Sandend and Portsoy. Or head west and see Bow Fiddle Rock, Portknockie, Findochty along to Buckie. Further afield there’s Lossiemouth, Findhorn and endless beaches and walks to enjoy.

Cyclists can ride the roads or railway, and we can all enjoy the many stopping points for views, coffees and cakes.

Eat at The Royal Oak (just around the corner from 193 and AppleTreeCottage), or head up in to town to the Seafield Arms. The Cullen Bay hosts the annual Cullen Skink competition but serves meals daily too, and offers unparalleled views of the bay! Then there’s the coffee shops, antique and bric-a-brac shops in the village.

Andrew serves a great coffee at Coffee at the Kings by the beach; and why not have a sea-side sauna just along from Cullen Golf Club?

And if you are keen to spoil a good walk, there’s the challenging links course for the golfer.

For the more adventurous book in with Blue Coast Surf & Paddle for surfing, paddleboarding and coasteering classes with a friendly and professional team.

Surfers, wild swimmers, walkers, cyclists, families, gastronomes, the curious, the fun seeking, the coffee-hunter or sand castle builder..
